Participation in an International Survey - preferences regarding participation in international conferences

Academic conferences play an important role for researchers from different disciplines and institutions. Choosing the format and location of the conferences affects many aspects including affordability, carbon footprint, and the professional utility. In order to further understand preferences and suggest a new optimization model for conferences format and location options, you are invited  to participate in a short academic survey examining researchers’ preferences regarding participation in international conferences. The results of the survey will also be used to calibrate an optimization model that takes multiple considerations into account including locations, carbon footprint, and professional utilities.  The survey takes less than 10 minutes to complete, and your perspective as an active researcher is highly valuable for this research:

We aim to diversify responses across countries and academic disciplines, please feel free to forward this to any of your colleagues. Their participation would greatly contribute to the quality and robustness of the study.

Thank you very much in advance for your time and support. With your help, we hope to advance research that better reflects the preferences and needs of the academic community.
