Transforming socio-economic metabolism in times of multiple crises
19-21 September 2022, Vienna, Austria
The ISIE-SEM conference 2022 that took place from 19-12 September 2022 in Vienna was a great success. More than 180 colleagues from the world-wide SEM community and from related research fields joined the conference that was co-hosted by the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU), the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (BOKU) and the Technical University of Vienna (TU).
The programme featured 105 oral presentations and 45 posters on a broad range of SEM research topics, including urban metabolism and the transition of built environments, circular economy, the material-energy-climate nexus as well as global supply chain and footprint assessments.
We thank all participants for joining us in Vienna and look forward to the next ISIE-SEM conference in 2024.
