Travel grants available for US-based early career researchers to attend icRS Cities 2019

The 2019 International Conference on Resource Sustainability - Cities (icRS Cities 2019) will be held on July 1-3, 2019 in Adelaide, Australia. The conference aims to create a forum for a diverse group of researchers from around the world to exchange research outcomes and ideas on how resources contribute to urban sustainability. High-quality presentations from the conference will be recommended to journals that support the conference. In an effort to increase the participation of for US-based early career researchers in the icRS Cities 2019 conference, the US National Science Foundation (NSF) will provide a number of travel assistantships (up to $2,000 for each awardee for eligible expenses including registration fee, travel, and accommodation) to students, postdoctoral researchers, and junior faculty.

Eligibility

Applicants must be US-based students, postdoctoral researchers, or untenured faculty members. The awardees will be selected from the pool of eligible applicants in such a way that the diversity of the participants is ensured.

Application

To apply, please submit the following documents to icrsconf@icrsconf.com by 4/26/2019:

  • A CV including publications no more than 2 pages, clearly indicating the eligibility of the applicant (student, postdoctoral researcher, or untenured faculty), and
  • Presentation information at icRS Cities 2019
    • Title and abstract ID if your presentation has already been accepted
    • Title, author information, and 500-word abstract if you haven’t submitted an abstract. The Scientific Committee will review your abstract. Your award application will be considered if the Scientific Committee accepts your abstract.
