In the past, ISIE memberships were managed by Wiley. However, as part of the transition to an independent organization, the ISIE is changing the way in which memberships are being managed. The main changes are outlined below.
- Payments will be made on our website.
Instead of being redirected to Wiley's website, you will be able to pay the ISIE directly through our own site. - Renewals and new memberships will be immediately activated
In the past, it could take a number of weeks before memberships were activated, due to the time it took for us to receive details of membership renewals and new registrations. This will no longer be the case and your membership will be active or renewed right away. - For 2019 renewals we will start taking payments mid December
We can not yet take payments online, because we need to wait until our new independent organization is set up. We have been working hard since the beginning of this year to make that happen, and this process is now almost completed. Barring unforeseen events, we expect that the payment system will be activated by mid December 2018. All members will be notified by e-mail once this system is in place.
Current memberships are set to lapse on December 31, 2018. However, we will set up a grace period so that our existing members have some time to renew their account without losing their membership status. Our apologies for the inconvenience for those who already want to renew their membership. We hope everybody will find the new experience of renewing or registering on our website easier and more straightforward than our previous system.
