Dear SUS and ISIE members,
The Sustainable Urban Systems (SUS) section met in Les Diablerets on May 23 during the ISIE Gordon Research Conference.
The meeting offered a great opportunity to go over the section activities since ISIE 2017 in Chicago, including our New York workshop, the revision of the bylaws, the organization of webinars, and our new Member Spotlights section. Moreover, we brainstormed some future activities that the section could engage in, including instituting a SUS research award and including a geographical map of where all SUS members are located so we can easily more easily connect with one another.
We all realized the strategic position of SUS to provide a platform for all members to exchange ideas, research interests, datasets, and communicate our general enthusiasm to make cities more sustainable.
