Student grants for the 2018 Industrial Ecology Gordon Research Conference and Gordon Research Seminar (Ph.D. students and postdoctoral researchers)
The 2018 Industrial Ecology Gordon Research Conference and Gordon Research Seminar will be held in Les Diablerets (Switzerland) during the week of May 19–25, 2018. There will be approximately 18 registration-fee grants for US young scientists (Ph.D. students and early PostDocs). Furthermore, currently funds are raised for young scientists from developing countries for grants, including registration and travel support (number grants not yet clear). Costs that will be covered are registration fees, including conference admission, room and food (GRC: 1,250 $ (shared room), GRS: $295 ( shared room)) and, in the case of students from developing countries, also travel support.
If you need financial support to attend the conference, please submit an application until March 5, 2018 to dold@ifu.baug.ethz.ch
Applications should include:
- A statement of eligibility (Ph.D. student or postdoctoral researcher, preferably in the first two years after completing the Ph.D.)
- Motivation letter for attending GRC/GRS (1 page); please specify if you apply for full grant or partial grant (e.g. 50% of registration fee) for GRS and/or GRC
- Short description of the planned contribution at GRS/GRC. If an abstract has been submitted on the GRS/GRC platform, please refer to this abstract in your application.
- CV including publications (in total 2 pages or shorter)
Please see https://www.grc.org/industrial-ecology-conference/2018/ for the conference description and program.
We are looking forward to seeing you at GRC and GRS!
