Dear ISIE-SEM member,
We are pleased to announce the call for nominations for the 2026 ISIE Socio-Economic Metabolism (SEM) Section Board election. We invite you to nominate candidates for the eight available Board Member positions.

The nomination deadline is October 25, 2026.
Voting will take place from November 1 to November 30, 2026, and the election results will be announced in December.
The candidate receiving the highest number of votes will be invited to serve as Chair of the SEM Section Board. If that candidate declines, the position will be offered to the candidate with the next highest number of votes, and so on. In the event of a tie for the highest number of votes, the candidates will be invited to serve as Co-Chairs. If more than two candidates are tied, two Co-Chairs will be selected by random draw from among those willing to serve.
We encourage you to nominate colleagues who would like to contribute to the SEM community and help shape the future of the Section.
