Welcome to the third session of the ISIE-EEIO "Data Matter" Webinar Series for 2026. This series serves as a premier platform for our community to engage with the latest advancements in EEIO (Environmentally Extended Input-Output) datasets and to learn directly from the developers at the forefront of the field.
We are honoured to welcome Dr. Keiichiro Kanemoto from Tohoku University. He will be presenting the latest work of the enterprise-level global supply chain database, published in Nature Communications.
Speaker Bio:
Keiichiro Kanemoto is an Associate Professor of the Industrial Ecology Lab, Graduate School of Environmental Studies, Tohoku University. Before that, he was a Lecturer at the Institute of Decision Science for a Sustainable Society, Kyushu University, Faculty of Economics and Law, Shinshu University, and Research Institute for Humanity and Nature. From 2009 to 2011, he was a visiting research fellow at Integrated Sustainability Analysis, the University of Sydney. Dr. Kanemoto received his Ph.D. in 2014 from Tohoku University. Since 2018, he was named a Highly Cited Researcher in the field of Cross-Field by Clarivate Analytics. He was rewarded as The Young Scientists’ Award by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, in 2022.
