If you are in Singapore the week before our ISIE biennial conference, you have the opportunity to participate in a one-week Summer School on Open Science to Link MFA and LCA. Although this program is not affiliated with the ISIE, the topic, location, and timing might make it particularly appealing to some ISIE members.
Départ de Sentier has previously organized Spring, Summer, and Autumn Schools in North and South America and Europe, and now it’s time to expand to Asia. From June 23–27, just before the ISIE conference, they are offering this unique Summer School:
Research in life cycle assessment (LCA) and material flow analysis (MFA) has grown significantly over the past decade, as have the power, flexibility, and availability of open-source tools and data. This course will couple ODYM and Brightway to explore how this combination can inspire and improve the methods and results of MFA and LCA. Participants will also learn about open-source development and publication.
