ISIE members are encouraged to bring forward proposals for consideration and voting by the entire Society at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) to be held in April this year. Member Proposals can be Strategic Proposals or Industrial Ecology Project Grants of various sizes but please submit yours by 6 April 2023.
Strategic Proposals
Strategic proposals are intended to help shape strategic priorities or ongoing initiatives for ISIE and we welcome proposals from any ISIE member, for consideration and voting at the AGM. Proposals must be relevant to the ISIE purpose to “promote and develop the field of industrial ecology and its applications”, and must demonstrate clear benefit to the Society and its members. Proposals are about the structure of the society or operational suggestions.
Industrial Ecology Project Grants
Industrial Ecology projects are member-run or member-led activities that contribute to the general field of industrial ecology. We expect these projects to include practical activities that support awareness, implementation, engagement or community building of industrial ecology thinking and practices. The grants can cover any expenses related to the project, including compensation for the people rolling this out.
Sample projects could be: the setup of a directory with industrial ecology courses and seminars; the creation of a virtual support desk for industrial ecology students; or the development of a new data visualization tool for industrial ecology applications. These grants are not for specific industrial ecology research projects.
Projects should be submitted in one of three budget size categories:
Up to EUR 1000 -- 3 grants available
Up to EUR 2500 -- 3 grants available
Up to EUR 5000 -- 2 grants available
Total: EUR 20,500
