Free online Peer Review training workshop for early career researchers (March 14, 2-5pm CET)

Dear ISIE members,

A free training and certification program for peer review has been launched by IOP Publishing, the publisher of Environmental Research Letters and other relevant journals in our fields, with the goal of assisting early career researchers (starting approximately from 3rd year PhD). This program was created to assist young researchers in developing their peer review skills as well as to enhance the peer review experience for authors, reviewers, and (I suppose) themselves.

The interactive online workshops will cover both the technical and ethical aspects of peer review, as well as practical experiences and advice on writing good reviews. IOP has asked me to co-chair one of these workshops on March 14 from 2 to 5 p.m. There are just roughly 70 available spots and IOP will start filling those from their waiting list in February.
