This month’s articles include impressions of the Darmstadt and Beijing conferences, and the recent World Resources Forum. We also have two interesting articles from members – Tomohiro Tasaki, Keisuke Nansai, Kenichi Nakajima, Atsushi Terazono, and Rieko Kubota from NIES, describing the industrial ecology research being done at the Center for Material cycles and Waste Management Research (CMW) at NIES, and Gang Liu and Daniel Müller from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology describing their recent paper in Nature Climate Change on the global aluminium cycle.
