Special virtual issue of the JIE highlighting articles awarded data openness badges

As our field has grown, the number of studies and the quantity of data generated and used has increased significantly. This in turn has led to a desire for better utilization of the accumulated data for more sophisticated analyses—which has created the need for greater transparency, accessibility, and reusability of IE data, paralleling the considerable momentum throughout the sciences. To advance these goals, the Journal of Industrial Ecology established data openness badges that recognize articles that go beyond the strict minimum for publication in the provision of data.

To recognize the efforts of the authors of these articles and the contribution they have made to advancing the utility of IE data, the JIE has published a special issue highlighting papers that have been awarded data badges. Please visit https://bit.ly/JIE-VI-DB to see the articles!
