Information about the Ecosystems Lab (ESL)
ESL educates and inspire students to become global environmental experts who can take on grand environmental challenges. ESL was established in 1993 as pollution control lab with a focus on water, wastewater and air pollution treatment. Over the years, its research capacity has broadened to investigate the various aspects of environmental technology and management, including resource recycling and cleaner production, development and promotion of existing industrial parks to Eco-industrial park (EIP), and sharing of utility infrastructure to reduce their collective environmental footprint. Today ESL is a leading laboratory in South Korea with excellent industry-academia collaboration.
