Kangkang (KK) Tong is a Ph.D. candidate in Science, Technology, and Environmental Policy at the Humphrey School of Public Affairs, University of Minnesota. She is conducting research on sustainable cities and infrastructure from an interdisciplinary perspective. Her PhD studies explored the relationship between cities and carbon emissions at multiple scales and investigated low-carbon infrastructure transitions. Her dissertation proposal was awarded the Doctoral Dissertation Fellowship. In addition to research, she is also active in teaching and other academic services. She independently taught a graduate-level course in Fall 2016. Additionally, she is the referee of six academic journals. Recently, she received the Excellence in Review Awards from the journal Recourse, Conservation, & Recycling. She also co-organized a workshop on career development for interdisciplinary scholars in summer 2017. KK is on the job market now. She is happy to chat with you about her research and experiences, if there are any potential opportunities.
