Simon Glöser-Chahoud graduated from TU Berlin with a diploma in industrial engineering in 2010 and he holds a doctorate degree from TU Clausthal . Before joining IIP/KIT, where he currently holds a position as the head of the “Sustainable Value Chains” research group, he worked as a project manager and research associate at Fraunhofer ISI for more than six years. Since 2021 he is the executive director of the French-German Institute for Environmental Research (DFIU) within KIT.

Material and substance flow modeling, circular economy, product life cycles and life cycle assessment, bio-based industrial processes, cleaner production, techno-economic and ecological process evaluation
