AboutI am developing early state sustainability assessment methods for innovative proto-opto-electro mechanical systems.
DetailsI started with technical biology and the investigation of enzymatic phosphate release from agricultural residues towards sustainable fertilization without the risk of eutrophication. Driven by sustainable research topics and biological simulations, I pursued my PhD in the area of waste gas recycling. Thereby I developed modeling tools for risk minimization in bioprocess upscaling to maximize CO2/CO fixation. I also investigated the economic feasibility of different fermentation methods by analyzing the market and evaluating the overall potential of the process.
Recently, I am developing early state sustainability assessment methods for innovative proto-opto-electro mechanical systems. Thereby, I perform quantitative ex-ante life cycle assessments (LCA) to support the technology developers in finding the most promising design option from a sustainability perspective.
