Dear all,
I wish you are doing well in this difficult time we are living.
We are pleased to announce a 2-year post-doctoral position at Unilasalle Rennes - EME in France (https://www.unilasalle.fr/cyclann) starting in September. The post-doc is linked to an Interreg Channel Manche project (https://www.channelmanche.com/) between the North of France and the South of England. Its aim is to support local authorities in improving their household waste management through circular economy strategies. It is also to develop new economic activities through the organization of training courses. The project is called BLUEPRINT.
Our role as part of the Cyclann / Unilasalle Rennes - EME research team is to contribute to the analysis of the household waste management within selected cities by providing quantitative diagnostic elements on flows and by formulating recommendations for the optimization of waste management with regard to territorial circular economy strategies. The team will also contribute to the development of training programs for local authorities, students and other partners.
Through this project, we wish to continue the development of dynamic flows analysis methods that enable forecasting with scenarios that take into account socio-economic data on consumption and waste production and the evolution of waste management systems. That development would complement previous research on construction materials and C&D waste flows and stocks (Augiseau, 2017), but applied to household waste (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment or furniture for instance). Precise project and coordination with other partners will be specified at the launching of the project. Some teaching could also be requested to the post-doctoral fellow. French is not mandatory though it would be appreciated.
Best regards,
Vincent Augiseau, Assistant professor, Teaching Manager of the Advanced Master in Circular Economy
