Two postdoctoral positions are available with Prof. Junming Zhu from the School of Public Policy and Management at Tsinghua University.
The first position will work on policy analysis of China’s Green Belt and Road Initiative, implementation of Sustainable Development Goals, and its local environmental governance. A focus on either causal evaluation of policy outcome or qualitative policy process research is necessary, and a combination of both is preferred. The selected candidate will be expected to have a doctoral degree in industrial ecology, economics, public administration, or a related field; excellent knowledge of both quantitative and qualitative methods and strong research experience in either econometric analysis or qualitative inference; excellent organizational and communication skills; and ability to work independently and collaboratively with a small team.
The second position will work on behavioral intervention for sustainable consumption. The focus is on cognitive bias and behaviors of the public and communication and intervention strategies for sustainable consumption, based on big data, machine learning techniques, and behavioral experiment. The selected candidate will be expected to have a doctoral degree in industrial ecology, management science, computer science, or a related field; strong research experience in machine learning, natural language processing, or behavioral experiment, and their application in consumer research; excellent organizational and communication skills; and ability to work independently and collaboratively with a small team.
Both appointments will be for two years and available from this fall, with some flexibility of the start day. Application deadline is 22 May 2020.
