UNDP is currently seeking to recruit a Programme Manager for Phase II of the ACP-EU Development Minerals Programme. This is a really exciting position and I would like to encourage interested candidates to find out more about the role and submit an application here: https://bit.ly/2TQwwb8 (note: the application deadline has been extended to 30 March).
As many of you may know, I served as the Programme Manager for Phase I of the Programme. It was a fantastic job, with a great team and huge potential to make a positive impact. In the first phase we successfully brought the sector to the forefront of the development agenda and involved more than 20,000 people in capacity building. Phase II will continue to provide support to artisanal and small-scale miners, their associations, and the public institutions that support and regulate them, as well as the social stakeholders impacted by minerals development.
