Dear All,
We have an excellent package for outstanding Chinese applicants that want to pursure a PhD at Newcastle University. It is open to any discipline but I obviously would prefer (and will support) an ISIE themed research proposal and applicant.
The scholarship will cover full tuition fees for a period of 48 months. The China Scholarship Council will provide a living allowance, including the cost of a return flight from China to the UK, accommodation and subsistence, depending on the applicant’s eligibility.
This scheme provides academically excellent Chinese students with the opportunity to study for a PhD at Newcastle University. The scholarships are supported jointly by the China Scholarship Council and Newcastle University.
Only applicants who state in the funding section of their PhD application that they wished to be considered for China Scholarships Council – Newcastle University PhD Scholarships will be considered for awards. The University will consider applicants based on their PhD application; there is no separate scholarship application form to complete.
Successful candidates will be required to apply to the China Scholarship Council (CSC), satisfy the selection criteria set out by CSC, (details can be found China Scholarship Council's website) and must inform Newcastle University of the progress of their CSC application and interview date.
You can find more info @ https://www.ncl.ac.uk/postgraduate/funding/sources/internationalnoneustudents/cscnu20.html
Deadline is 31st January 2020 (with a start date of Octiber 2020).
In case you want to pursue a PhD in Cities strategies, Urban Metabolism, Climate Change Mitigation/Adapation Infrastructures or Resource Management do get in touch and I will see if I can help.
Best wishes
