We are seeking a highly motivated Research Fellow wishing to advance their career in a research-driven, interdisciplinary environment, beginning 1 July 2023 or soon after. This is a fixed term contract for up to 12 months.
The Fellow will support the Principal Investigator Dr Lirong Liu and Professor Angela Druckman in delivering the Horizon Europe funded project WISE HORIZONS: Wellbeing, Inclusion and Sustainability & the Economy. The project offers an excellent opportunity to develop research expertise in a collaborative project by working with an interdisciplinary team involving international and UK partners.
The Research Fellow will carry out research for the project that is finding out what sustainable lifestyles will look like in 2050. You will focus predominantly on combining subjective wellbeing, environmental impact, and time use data to develop a database for a variety of countries, showing how characteristics have changed over time. You will extrapolate subjective wellbeing and environmental impacts for different scenarios of time use and production intensities. Your work will also include literature reviews, data analysis, writing reports, supporting project management, as well as liaising with team members (external and internal). Travel may be required within the UK and EU.
The successful candidate will have a PhD in Environment, Sustainability or a related discipline, data analysis skills, and ideally have some expertise in sustainable lifestyles and related quantitative skills.
