We offer a post-doc position, 32h per week (80%), limited to 4 years. The gross annual salary is EUR 48,720. An increase to 100% is possible through the acquisition of third-party funds. In our research we analyze, evaluate and optimize the anthropogenic material household. Our main method is material flow analysis (MFA), which we develop further and apply to new research questions. Furthermore, we deal with entropy as an evaluation indicator and with the linking of MFA and economic equilibrium models. We have a well-equipped laboratory for the inorganic analysis of waste and secondary raw materials.
We are looking for dedicated scientists who aspire to an academic career, are creative and have an interest in the anthropogenic metabolism. On the one hand, the successful candidate will support Prof. Rechberger in supervising PhD students and, on the other hand, will have sufficient freedom to advance their own research ideas. We offer an excellent research environment and Vienna is definitely one of the most liveable and beautiful cities in the world.
