Short description of the position:
The Institute for Renewable Energy performs applied research on sustainable energy transition for cities and regions. The Institute supports companies in product development and innovation and cooperates with industry, research and public partners on European and international level. The Research Group on Overall Energy System Modelling and e-Mobility aims at increasing its analytical capacity by integrating the meso-macroeconomic perspective into its energy modelling activities.
The group is looking for a Researcher / Senior Researcher with a strong background in economics and experience in the use of Input-Output Analysis methods.
Tasks:
- Supporting the implementation of the Horizon 2020 Project FULFILL (https://fulfill-sufficiency.eu/) particularly with regard to the Work Package on impact evaluation led by Eurac Research.
- Applying advanced Input-Output Analysis methods to the subject of the project;
- Developing, writing and publishing high quality technical reports and scientific articles;
- Contributing to communication, information and dissemination events and activities within the project;
- Contribute to the development of methods and approaches for integrating the meso-macroeconomic perspective into energy modelling.
Requirements:
- Master in Economics;
- Some years of working experience and / or a PhD in Economics;
- Experience in applying Input-Output Analysis methods autonomously;
- Good team spirit, motivation to learn and capacity to work in a group and independently;
- Fluent written and verbal communication skills (e.g., drafting reports, delivering presentations);
- Good command of English (reading, writing and speaking);
- Knowledge of Italian and/or German is an advantage.
