Multiple postdoctoral and senior research associate positions are available at Cornell University's PEESE group (www.peese.org) in the general areas of life cycle assessment (LCA), materials flow analysis (MFA), circular economy, and urban metabolism. Candidates with suitable backgrounds and publication records (at least five high-quality publications in relevant fields) are encouraged to apply. Candidates with strong research backgrounds and expertise in environmental data science and/or AI for sustainability could be considered for Cornell's new Schmidt AI in Science Program. Cornell is one of the few universities worldwide selected to establish the Schmidt AI in Science Postdoc program (https://news.cornell.edu/stories/2022/10/cornell-joins-schmidt-ai-science-postdoc-research-initiative). We will recruit and train a cohort of up to 100 postdoctoral fellows over the next six years in a few cross-disciplinary areas, including "AI for sustainability sciences." The Schmidt Fellows will be supported by a salary of at least US $72,000 per year, plus the 10% additional retirement contribution and full Cornell-employee benefit plans.
