Cornell was founded in 1865 and has a beautiful 750-acre campus that offers a unique combination of an Ivy League private school, including Engineering's top ten programs in the US, and a federal land-grant institution with the nationally top-ranked program in Agriculture and Life Sciences, among others. The university has a strong dedication to promoting interdisciplinary research and scholarship.
