Candidates with strong research backgrounds and expertise in environmental data science and/or AI for sustainability could be considered for Cornell's new Schmidt AI in Science Program. Cornell is one of the few universities worldwide selected to establish the Schmidt AI in Science Postdoc program (https://news.cornell.edu/stories/2022/10/cornell-joins-schmidt-ai-science-postdoc-research-initiative). We will recruit and train a cohort of up to 100 postdoctoral fellows over the next six years in a few cross-disciplinary areas, including "AI for sustainability sciences." The Schmidt Fellows will be supported by a salary of at least USD 72,000 per year, plus the 10% additional retirement contribution and full Cornell-employee benefit plans.
