Tenure Track Assistant Professor in »Sustainability Assessment of Food and Agriculture Systems«

The Technical University of Munich (TUM) invites applications for the position of Tenure Track Assistant Professor in »Sustainability Assessment of Food and Agriculture Systems« to begin as soon as possible. The position is a W2 fixed-term (6 year) tenure-track professorship with the possibility for promotion to a tenured W3.


Scientific Environment
The professorship will be assigned to the TUM School of Management and will be a joint appointment with the TUM School of Life Science. The professorship will be situated in the scientific environment of the Center of Life Sciences Management & Policy, which is based on the Campus Weihenstephan.

Responsibilities
The responsibilities include research and teaching as well as the promotion of early-career scientists. We seek to appoint an expert in the research area of Sustainable Food and Agriculture Systems Analysis with a focus on Life Cycle Assessment and Material Flow Analysis. Teaching responsibilities include the degree programs of the TUM School of Life Sciences and the TUM School of Management.

Qualifications
We are looking for candidates who have demonstrated initial scientific achievements and the capacity for independent research at the highest international level. A university degree and an outstanding doctoral degree or equivalent scientific qualification, as well as pedagogical aptitude and the ability to teach in English, are prerequisites. Substantial research experience abroad is expected and full commitment to do interdisciplinary research mandatory (please see www.tum.de/en/faculty-recruiting-faq/ for further information).
