The Industrial Ecology Program (IndEcol), Department of Energy and Process Engineering (EPT) at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) is seeking a research assistant in the project “Resource Efficiency and Climate Change”, where the objective is assessing the contribution of material efficiency strategies in buildings, transport infrastructure and vehicles for mitigation of climate change and biodiversity loss. The primary task of the research assistant is to support data collection, modeling, and analysis/presentation of results. In addition, the candidate would support the project leader in coordination tasks. The modeling makes use of engineering tools such as EnergyPlus, life cycle assessment, and dynamic material flow analysis through the ODYM-RECC model. We are looking for a recent graduate in industrial ecology, physics, mathematics, engineering, or applied economics/statistics who has skills in programming, data processing, and/or engineering analysis. Competence in LCA is required.
Duration of the position is 18 months.
