Research Software Engineer Specialist

We are seeking a full-time, one-year Research Software Engineer Specialist to focus on advancing our environmental impact modeling. Skills in Python, Excel, and cross-disciplinary communication are key. The position will work with our research software team to develop, maintain, deploy, and support existing environmental models and data. The position will work with a larger research team to understand and define the data elements, model assumptions, and outputs to resolve discrepancies and errors. This position will be on the Knowledge Initiatives (KI) team, which leads the portfolio of interdisciplinary sustainability research and scholarly activity within IonE.

Research experience in data science or research software engineering is a requirement to start this position. Work related to sustainability and/or environmental science in one or more natural or social science or engineering disciplines is a plus.
