Western Norway Research Institute is announcing a vacant research fellow position in the climate and environment research group, for research within the broader fields of analysis and management of climate risk, industrial ecology, circular economy, sustainable transport, and consumption. Skills in life cycle assessment and knowledge connected to greenhouse gas inventories as well as statistics and/or circular economy are required.
The research group has several projects connected to sustainable tourism, carbon footprint analysis, and circular economy. The candidate might also be involved in research related to the implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, including development of indicators and metrics for sustainability at the regional and local levels.
The candidate should hold a PhD in a relevant field, but candidates with an MSc and relevant research experience are also encouraged to apply.
Western Norway Research Institute is an assignment-based interdisciplinary research institute located in Sogndal, Norway. The institute has 30 employees. The institute aims to be at the forefront of national and international research.
