About

Lidia is a senior researcher with a Ph.D. in chemistry and the Scientific Manager of the National Research and Development Institute for Industrial Ecology. She has more than ten years of experience in research projects performing research studies regarding the impact assessment of hazardous substances on environmental components (surface water, groundwater, soil, and sediment), distribution and mobility studies of different hazardous contaminants in surface water, soil and plants in areas affected by anthropogenic activities. She developed new models and methodologies for assessing and characterizing hazardous waste and substances per EU legislation in research projects and by directly collaborating with industrial units. She has participated in 7 research projects as Project Manager and 13 as a team member. Achievements: > 45 research papers.
